INTERIOR DESIGN PROJECT:
Project Name: Timeless Is Forever
Scope: Kitchen Design, Addition of a Walk-In Pantry and Kid’s Workspace
Location: Belle River, Ontario
Details: Busy Family
THE CHALLENGE:
The kitchen was dated and worn out. The client wanted something that would stand the test of time and hold up to hours of everyday use. With many food sensitivities, this family goes hard on their kitchen. So, rather than white, we went with a light taupe in order to create a softer, more timeless kitchen that hides the dirt of the day-to-day.
We put a wall up (yes, you heard that right!) in the oversized living room in order to create a walk-in pantry and homework area for the kids so that their mess was kept off of the island.
And to better utilize their stunning backyard, the kitchen window was widened and turned into an awning window so that food and beverages could be passed out to the patio with ease.
CLIENT LOVE:
“Our family has a plethora of food requirements, so I knew that tackling the kitchen would be a major challenge. We needed more storage without adding onto the home and couldn’t remove a wall due to main ducting and electrical components being housed between our current kitchen and dining area. Heather and her team were able to puzzle together more storage in the kitchen with smarter solutions, a walk-in pantry AND a working area for the kids. They married my style of classic bones with smart family-friendly solutions and they partnered us with a contractor who handled the entire project with beautiful finishings.”
