THE CHALLENGE:
This bathroom was well overdue for renovation. It had mould issues, space issues, and fixtures that were coming apart from the wall.
The client wanted a spa-like retreat that was soothing, neutral, easy to clean, and that would solve a challenging floor plan.
Before we took over, this bathroom had some real “hip bumpers”, a tiny shower, and an oversized vanity that was taking up far too much space without the smart storage.
By relocating the toilet to the other side of the room, we were able to fit a larger walk-in curbless shower AND a luxurious standalone tub.
There are a ton of well-thought-out details in this space like the location of the shower valves on the bench wall so that one can sit and have full function of the shower, a ledge built behind the tub to easily reach soaps and shampoos, and a curbless shower design for accessibility so that the client can age in-place.
Utilizing six different tile and stone options makes this room feel elevated and unique, bringing the neutral colours to life.
