The biggest frustration we heard from people seeking a design professional is that the process is SO mysterious. 

Most designers charge by the hour.  Does it really take them 3 hours to pick out a sofa?  How many hours will it actually take to finish the project?  They’ll tell you it depends on how long it takes you to make decisions and how many revisions… but should you really have to pay hundreds of dollars an hour when you have questions?

Other designers charge a flat rate (usually between $1250-$6,000 depending on the project and service level) then try to upsell you on expensive furniture.  Why did they design the entire room around a $6,000 sofa?!  All of a sudden your budget — that you felt was substantial — is completely out the window.

Then there’s e-design.  You hire a designer to give you an online design which includes a mood board of what the room should look like.  Then it’s up to you to buy everything, manage trades, and put it all together.  It almost never ends up looking like that pretty picture in the end.

one complete room for one complete price.

That’s a professionally designed unique room, high quality furniture, rug, paint + professional painting, wall treatments, window treatments, art + decor, materials, AND professional installation with styling done by your designer in your home.  All included for one flat price.

Our Style + Ideas Session helps us nail down your unique style because we want your room to be stylish, comfortable, and a reflection of who YOU are.

Every person and every family have a unique style. During our ideas session we will ask a lot of questions around what you like, what you don’t like, how you use the space, and we will look at some inspiration images so that we can “name and claim” the style profile that’s perfectly you.

A professionally designed room down to the smallest detail.  No need to run around looking for the perfect piece. Your designer has it handled.

Once you’ve approved your style profile, your Designer will get to work creating a furniture layout, colour scheme, and lighting plan that is perfectly suited to your style.  

See your room before it’s installed with our 3D rendering + concept presentation.

Next we will present the concept the furniture selections to you at a concept meeting where we will review a 3D rendering of your space and the furnishings, colours, fabrics, and materials selected in the design for your approval.

Most clients absolutely love their design at this point because of all the work we did at the Style + Ideas session together.  However, if there’s something you don’t love not to worry!  A round of revisions are included.

Procurement. Storage. Inspection. Fixing Damages. You don’t need to lift a finger.

Everything in the package selected is included — the paint + professional painting.  Furniture.  Draperies.  Area Rug + Underpad.  Wall treatments.  Lighting. Everything.

We will handle the ordering, inspection, repair of damages (because inevitably, things WILL arrive damaged when shipping large items), tracking, and scheduling.  You don’t have to lift a finger.

No need to fight with unreliable trades. Our team will take care of it hiring, paying, and scheduling everyone.

We will hire, schedule, and supply the painter and handyman as needed to complete the project. 

If custom cabinetry is selected, we’ll source the very best quality and have it perfectly installed for you.

All of the paint and materials will be delivered on site prior to the scheduled trade visit.

White-Glove Delivery and Professional Styling will bring your room to the next level.

Once every last piece has arrived and the trades have finished up, our white-glove delivery team and stylist will load your room with all of the furniture, artwork and accessories.

Once complete, we’ll give you an HGTV-style reveal and walk you through how to care for all of the new pieces in your room.

How long Does the Process Take:

The process from initial style + ideas meeting to delivery of products is 8-12 weeks, which is why many of our clients forego doing the planning process themselves and rely on us to do it for them.  Here is a breakdown of how those weeks will go:

Start: We begin with an ideas session and measurements of your space.  Both Heather (our Principal Interiors Pro) and Kyle (our Project Manager) will meet you at your home to do the initial assessment.  Heather will sit with you and ask a lot of questions that will help her define your design aesthetic and understand how you and your family function inside your kitchen.  Kyle will take accurate measurements of the space so that we can begin the process of designing the room.

Initial Concept Development:  Heather and the team will spend about 10 days pulling together the initial design concept and preparing material samples.  We will do initial layout sketches, mood boards, and design a presentation with furniture options for all of the key pieces in the room.  This is a truly collaborative team effort done internally that requires hitting up our suppliers, spending approximately 8-10 hours on drawings and planning, and putting the concept in front of multiple eyes to ensure that the concept is the very best it can be in order to meet our standards of excellence.

Concept Meeting:  We will pull together a full Design Presentation for you at our studio to go over the furniture layout, material selections, furniture choices, and colours.  This will be your first chance to see the initial design concepts and make any revisions to the plan or before signing off on the design and approved furnishings.

Approvals:  You’ll have the chance to review and sign off on every item going into the design.  Don’t worry if you don’t like something.  We always provide multiple choices and a revision round is always included!

Procurement: Once all of the items have been approved by you, our project management team gets to work ordering, receiving, and inspecting all fo the key furnishings for your space.  Your furnishings will take about 8 weeks to arrive, however in some instances can take up to 10 weeks.

Trade Schedule: We will provide a trade schedule for you to hang on your fridge so you’ll know exactly who is coming to do what and when while we wait for the furnishings to arrive.

Install Day: Our project management team will deliver and install all of the key furnishings for the space once the last piece arrives.  Your Designer will also spend a couple hours styling your room to put the finishing touches on making it home.

Reveal: Once your room is installed and styled, we will call you back home to do your HGTV-style reveal!

What Rooms Can You Do?

For a room to be eligible for 1 Room 1 Price, the 4 walls and a ceiling must exist (open concept is okay too!).

Nearly every room that requires furniture can be handled through our 1 Room 1 Price offering.  Living rooms, family rooms, bedrooms, home offices, dining rooms, craft rooms, foyers, etc.

At this time we are not able to offer Kitchens + Baths via this service (however ask us about our flat-fee Kitchen + Bath design packages).

We have add-on options to suit almost any design need.

Require new flooring?  No problem.

Painting additional rooms?  We’ve got you.

How much is it? (And is everything really included?)

We have different package and service levels to meet the level of finish that you want in your space.  A basic room that includes key furnishings, professional design time, storage, white-glove delivery, and 2 hours of styling time begin at $7,500.  A fully custom room done to-the-nines in exquisite fabric, custom built-ins, and designer pieces with every last detail considered begins at $30,000. 
We also have options in between to suit every need and budget.
